Adding Departments

Departments are a great way to organise your products. For example, when running a sales report, you can choose to show the sales from one department.

  1. To create a department, navigate to the “Admin” section, select the “Items” menu in the bottom left, and then select the “Departments” tab in the top left.

  1. Select the “Add” button at the top of the screen.

  1. Type in the department ID and the name of the department, and press “OK” to create the department. For the ID we recommend starting at 001 and increasing it by 1 for each new department, so the first department will have the ID 001, the second will have 002, the third 003 and so on.

  1. Once the department shows in the list it means it has been added.
