Security Permissions

 

List of Permissions:

 

• Close Out

• Allow Closeout

• • • • Employees with this permission are able to do an end of day Z-Report, which allows the employee to view, save and print a summary of the till activities since the last closeout, and to closeout the till. By default all employees can print X-Reports, which displays similar information but does not allow a closeout, and can reprint previous closeouts.

• Add a New Customer Record

• • • • Employees with this permission are able to create new customer accounts and fill in information for them while creating them.
        • Requires the ‘View – Customer Screen’ permission to be enabled.

        • Requires the ‘View – Customer Screen’ permission to be enabled.

• Delete a Customer Record

• • • • Employees with this permission are able to delete customer records.
        • Requires the ‘View – Customer Screen’ permission to be enabled.

• Print Customer Record

• • • • Employees with this permission are able to view a summary of a customer’s record as a pdf, and send it to print.
        • Requires the ‘View – Customer Screen’ permission to be enabled.

• Add/Edit Customer Notes

• • • • Employees with this permission are able to create a new note for a customer account, or edit an existing one.

• Change Customer Price Level

• Employees with this permission are able to change the variable price purchases by this customer will default to.

• Change Customer Shipping Address

• Employees with this permission are able to change a customer’s recorded shipping address.

• Change Customer Tax Exempt Status

• Employees with this permission are able to enable and disable a customer’s tax exemption status.

• Issue Customer Store Credit

• Add a New Employee Record

• • • • Employees with this permission are able to create a new employee account and fill in information for them when creating it.
        • Requires the ‘View – Employee Screen’ permission to be enabled.

• Edit an Existing Employee Record

• • • • Employees with this permission are able to access and edit employee account details and add and delete employee attendance records, but not edit existing attendance records.
        • Requires the ‘View – Employee Screen’ permission to be enabled.

• Delete an Employee Record

• • • • Employees with this permission are able to delete employee records. 
        • Requires the ‘View – Employee Screen’ permission to be enabled.

• Print Employee Record

• • • • Employees with this permission are able to view a summary of an employee account’s details and send it to print.
        • Requires the ‘View – Employee Screen’ permission to be enabled.

• Change Security Profile/Password

• • • • Employees with this permission are able to switch between security profiles for employee accounts, and can change the password that is used to sign into an employee account. This permission also allows the employee to change their own account’s security profile, so should be given out with caution.
        • Requires the ‘Employee – Edit an Existing Employee Record’ permission to be enabled.

• Update Attendance Record

• • • • Employees with this permission are able edit existing employee attendance records.
        • Requires ‘Employee – Edit an Existing Employee Record’ permission to be enabled.

• POS

• View – Customer Screen

• • • • Employees with this permission are able to view the customer screen within the POS section. Here employees can view the full list of customers, and select them for transactions. Employees can also add new and edit existing customer accounts from this screen, if they have the ‘Customer – Edit an Existing Customer Record’ permission.

• View – Product Screen

• • • • Employees with this permission are able to view the products screen within the POS section. Here employees can view the full list of products and services, and select them to add to the transaction. Employees can also edit existing products from this screen, if they have the ‘Product – Edit an Existing Product Record’ permission.

• View – Reports Screen

• View – Setup Screen

• • • • Employees with this permission are able to view the setup screen within the POS section. Here employees can access the following sub-menus:

• • • • Employees with this ability are able to sell gift certificates. When an employee without this permission attempts to sell a gift certificate, the application will require a login from an employee account with this permission.

• • • • Employees with this permission are able to put a transaction on hold and resume it with the ‘Suspend’ and ‘Resume’ function buttons. When an employee without this permission attempts to use the function button, the application will require a login from an employee account with this permission.

• • • • Employees with this permission are able to remove items from an ongoing transaction. When an employee without this permission attempts to delete an item from an ongoing transaction, the application will require a login from an employee account with this permission.

• • • • Employees with this permission are able to proceed from a transaction to the payment screen. When an employee without this permission attempts to proceed to the payment screen, the application will require a login from an employee account with this permission.

When an employee without this permission attempts to use the function button, the application will require a login from an employee account with this permission.

• Print Vendor Record

• • • • Employees with this permission are able to access the customers screen, where customer records are listed. This permission is required for an employee to be able to manage customer records.

• Product Screen

• Employees with this permission are able to access the products screen, where all product records are listed; the services screen, where services are listed; and the stock journal, where stock changes are recorded. This permission is required for an employee to be able to manage product records.

• • • • Employees with this permission are able to create new stock journal records, view a summary of a filtered selection of stock journal entries and also send them to print.
