Floats help you to keep track of money that is going in and out of the cash register throughout the day. Any amount recorded will be in the end-of-day report so the count is correct and there is no confusion.
To add a float:
- Navigate to the “Manage Register” section, and log in.
- Press the “Cash In/ Cash Out” box.
- Fill in or adjust any relevant information.
- Cash In/Cash Out:
- Choose whether cash has been put in or taken out at that moment.
- Amount:
- Select the amount of cash that is going in or out.
- Explanation:
- Reasons or events that triggered cash being put in or taken out of the till throughout the day, for example, £5 was taken out the register because we ran out of ingredients.
- Cash In/Cash Out:
- Once that is completed, press the “SAVE” button.
This helps ensure your end of day report is accurate after cash was put in or taken out the till during service.
