How To Add A Cash Float

Floats help you to keep track of money that is going in and out of the cash register throughout the day. Any amount recorded will be in the end-of-day report so the count is correct and there is no confusion.


 

To add a float:

  1. Navigate to the “Manage Register” section, and log in.
  2. Press the “Cash In/ Cash Out” box.
  3. Fill in or adjust any relevant information.
    • Cash In/Cash Out:
      • Choose whether cash has been put in or taken out at that moment.
    • Amount:
      • Select the amount of cash that is going in or out.
    • Explanation:
      • Reasons or events that triggered cash being put in or taken out of the till throughout the day, for example, £5 was taken out the register because we ran out of ingredients.
  4. Once that is completed, press the “SAVE” button.

This helps ensure your end of day report is accurate after cash was put in or taken out the till during service.
